“I’ve had to move every year since I was 12 years old.”

I have been living in dorm rooms for nine years now. That means that I’ve had to move every year since I was 12 years old. To lighten the load of every move, I trained myself to live with only the essentials. Any room I lived in was only a transient space.
With this project, I wanted to highlight the lack of a domestic space in my life. I staged my domestic desires in the most sterile space possible—a fine arts studio. The title refers to the studio as if it were an apartment.
The following scenes are snapshots of domestic life that I might imagine for myself. The “glitches” in each photograph suggest that these are still fictions in my head.
